My interest is communication, and I do this on the Internet through my writing and usability-focused web design. I therefore describe myself as a Web Communications Specialist. My skills include:

• web design skills, including css, html, xhtml, and intermediate php skills
• experience using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator
• skilled writer capable of communicating to a wide range of audiences
• understanding of Internet marketing and it's importance in website content and design
• soft skills gained from working within a wide range of organizations, from small business to large bureaurcracies
• I have spent the last two years working as a Web Communications Specialist within a large organization. Previously, I was running my own small business developing websites and writing.

The Internet is forever changing. Given I love to learn, it's a great place for me to be.

Another of my passions is communication, whether it is through my web design, writing or speaking (I am a member of Toastmasters).

As an action oriented problem solver, the worst that can happen is to be placed in a corner desk and prevented from completing projects ;-)

I definitely believe in balance, however. One way for me to achieve balance is through the outdoors. The wilderness and the stillness I find there is a treat. This past August I canoed the Bowron Lakes, a ten day camping trip in the interior of British Columbia.
